Introducing Solvivor, the Post Modern Southern Rock project rooted in Asheville, North Carolina,
Formed in June 2022 by Dorsey Parker and Ian Harrod, the band’s concept is simple: to create powerful rock and roll by turning heavy, authentic stories from real life and mythology into song. This vision is grounded in a deep collective history that includes acts such as Laura Blackley & the Wildflowers, Amanda Platt and Honeycutters, Velvet Truckstop, and others, ensuring each member brings a wealth of experience and an authentic, energetic Southern rock sound to the stage.
Looking Ahead
This definitive lineup is now poised to take the music where it’s meant to go. The band has been diligently at work on their forthcoming studio release, with plans to dedicate the winter months to writing and recording new material.
Fans can look forward to a few exciting shows that will showcase the band's hybrid rock and blues set.
As founding member Ian Harrod states, "As a band, Dorsey and I have a very unified vision of what we want to accomplish... We always play from the heart, give it our all and work hard in preparation for what we are trying to do." Solvivor continues its journey, delivering a sound that is both authentic and modern.
